PS5 Takes Over London Underground Station Ahead of European Launch

European PS5 fan'south excitement levels are no doubt extremely high right now. Sony's latest console launched all over the globe last week, except for Europe, where it is due for release tomorrow, November xix.

To celebrate the impending launch, Sony has taken over Oxford Circus, i of central London's main underground tube stations. While usually, the London Underground is represented with big a red circle around the word "Hole-and-corner", Sony has created their own play on this, using their iconic shapes.

Different entrances to the hugger-mugger station have been replaced with the instantly recognisable pink square, blue x and dark-green triangle, representative of those on the PlayStation's controllers throughout the years. The walls of the insides of the stations have also been changed to incorporate Sony'due south shapes.

This is a very absurd marketing ploy from Sony and a cheeky one likewise. One of the signs just then happens to sit down correct exterior of one of Microsoft'due south London stores.

Mile Cease has go Miles Cease, paying homage to Marvel'south Spider-Human: Miles Morales. Lancaster Gate Station has get Ratchet and Clankaster Gate. Seven Sisters has now go Gran Turismo vii Sisters and West Ham Station will now temporarily be known equally Horizon Forbidden West Ham Station. Clever Sony, very clever.
