What practise y'all guys use in your service trucks to keep things like sockets, wrenches and similar items from bouncing all over the place.
I am kind of a fan of the plastic blow molded cases only those don't always work out.
Actually don't like the idea of a drawer full of sockets rolling all over the place and having to dig for the size I need. SteigerSt320

If metallic trays, line up the sockets you take in rows. Take a piece of apartment iron cutting them in strips and tack weld them in place to where it'south about snug against the sockets. Make the strips almost tall enough to articulate the slide drawer above it. That way, as long they are full of sockets in a row, they will stay there. Dad and his blood brother made several of tool boxes this way. Perth

Hither is a link to an older thread. These pictures are of our service truck forthe farm. My uncle made the socket organizer out of a piece of iii/4 plywood and some circular dowels cutting to the length of the sockets. They stay in identify and you can see if 1 is missing before driving off and losing it.

GOODWAY, ALABAMA.

I accept a montazuma toolbox and I love information technology. Information technology keeps wrenches and sockets in place. Mbmaring

Go with the CPL for tool storage. Larger items don't need as much separation because they cover up each other.
